Elijah Oaks is a rising second-year law student at Columbia Law School. After graduating from Dartmouth College, he spent a year advocating for policy reform in the criminal legal system. He is excited to return to his home state and continue this work at the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender this summer. He looks forward to contributing to the office’s mission and expanding his experience in public defense.
