Romaissa Ghenai is a rising third-year student at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and is originally from Miami, Florida. She brings experience in international human rights law and civil rights litigation, which has shaped her dedication to advocacy and accountability. Her interests reflect a strong commitment to advancing justice for individuals and communities affected by systemic inequities. This commitment led her to return this summer to the Law Office of the Shelby County Public Defender, where she aims to advocate for indigent clients and protect the fundamental rights of those navigating the criminal legal system.
